Mothers groups are conducted regularly in the project to empower new mothers to look after themselves and their babies. The groups follow on from support given to the women during their pregnancies, and address many vital aspects of maternal and child health. Breast feeding, nutrition, immunizations, recognizing signs of illness and treatment options are addressed through interactive group sessions, with extra help given one-on-one when needed.

Through the mothers groups, women are empowered with knowledge, skills and confidence to realize health and wellbeing, giving their babies the opportunities to survive and thrive. By sponsoring a mothers’ club session, your donation will cover the costs of facilitation by trained health workers and clinicians, refreshments and transportation.
