Kenya faces some very real challenges in maternal and child health, with high rates of maternal mortality, low antenatal attendance and poor health outcomes for babies. Positive Aid aims to improve the situation at the grass roots by empowering women, especially during pregnancy. To remain healthy and have a positive experience, pregnant women need extra support, which is often hard to find.

By donating towards healthy pregnancies, your money will allow us to empower women through home visitations by community health workers trained in maternal and child health, and the running of regular pregnant womens’ clubs. These clubs empower pregnant women with vital information to assist them throughout their nine months and beyond. Clubs also create linkages to government antenantal clinics where the women can access further health services.
