Community health workers are the most amazing part of Positive Aid projects in Kenya! When we train a new community health worker we look for individuals who are enthusiastic, empowered and really pro-active so that they are committed to the volunteer work they are about to undertake. Positive Aid provides interactive training that is in line with the Kenya Government’s guidelines and covers all of the necessary first aid, counselling and client management skills. It is always delivered in the most effective way, using the local language, addressing cultural issues particular to the tribal area, and mobilising trainees to go on extensive field visits to practice their skills under supervision.
