Jess and Hannah‘s trip to Kenya
Date: 2013-11-26
Positive Aid partners with a local Kenyan organisation, URDI CBO, which implements the project we support. So far our project has centred on HIV/AIDS prevention and care, as well as some more general health initiatives. Recently, we have started to look into how to help mothers and children, as they are often the most vulnerable. It is also well known that by empowering women the whole community benefits. Jess Alvarez and Positive Aid volunteer Hannah Norris travelled to Kenya in June to help assess the local needs in Uranga Division in terms of maternal and child health, and early childhood development.
