Donate your old laptop for Health Literacy!
Date: 2014-08-20
We are wondering if any of our supporters or followers has a laptop computer they would like to donate for use in the project in Kenya. We are after two laptops in good working condition, which have both HDMI ports and disc drives. The laptops will be used to conduct Health Literacy sessions in villages to teach and empower local people about important health issues…the participants learn about how treating drinking water, washing hands, sleeping under a mosquito net, and other practices can prevent serious diseases.
Connecting our microscope to a laptop computer allows people to see bacteria, white blood cells and other things up close and with their own eyes, which aids in the process of passing on vital knowledge. Please contact Jess for more information or if you have a laptop you’d like to contribute: jess@positiveaid.org.au
