Alices trip to Kenya
Date: 2015-02-10
Alice Mitchell just got home from a three week trip to Kenya to monitor Positive Aid\'s project there. It was a busy time and she managed to fit in a whole lot of activities…visiting our community health workers, setting up a system to take the microscope out to the villages to teach people about germs and sanitation, meeting with the local board, helping in maternal and child health and more. She found the project in great shape, continuing to have a fantastic impact in the local community.
Working alongside the manager, Steve Mordecai, Alice got around mainly by motorbike, braving the dust and sun. After connecting with a whole range of people from the community, she was able to give a lot of input into the way our project is run. The overall feedback from her visit was that things are going really well and our support is making changes to peoples lives every day in the villages. Thanks to Alice for all of her efforts and assistance, and to the people running the project in Kenya with such integrity and commitment.
