World AIDS Day
Date: 2015-11-30
Today around the world we are recognising, celebrating and remembering people with HIV and AIDS.
December 1 every year is World AIDS Day! The global World AIDS Day theme for this year continues on from last years theme: Getting to Zero: Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS related deaths.
The aim of World AIDS Day is to encourage all Australians to be aware of HIV; to take action to reduce the transmission of HIV by promoting safe sex practices; and to ensure that people living with HIV can participate fully in the life of the community, free from stigma and discrimination.
There are events taking place around Australia, check out http://www.worldaidsday.org.au/internet/wad/publishing.nsf/Content/Home for more info :)
